Porterville Unified High Schools Student Art Show

The Porterville Art Association is hosting an art show for Porterville Unified High Schools Art students.  March 30th – April 15th (gallery hours are 10AM-4PM every Wed, Thur, Fri & Sat)

A reception will be held during the First Friday Art Walk, on April 1st from 5 PM until 8 PM.

Seven of the district’s art teachers’ from Strathmore, Granite Hills, Porterville and Monache High Schools, students will be showing art at the Porterville Art Association’s gallery:

Gregg C. Snyder, Art Department Head and Multimedia and Technology Pathway Coordinator at Monache High School attended Bluffton University, Ohio, and Fresno Pacific University, where he earned his MA  in Educational Technology.  He  taught 6 years at Orosi Unified School District and 25 years at Monache High School,

Linda Neuhaus is an art Instructor at  Monache High. She attended Kent State University; CSU Fresno, COS, Fresno Pacific.  She has been teaching 12, 11 in PUSD school district.

Rebecca Haley earned her BA at Ohio Dominican College in Columbus, Ohio, and . attended Fresno Pacific in Fresno to obtain a teaching credential. She taught 6th grade at Strathmore Elementary and now teaches Art at Porterville High School. Currently, her passion is creating art quilts.

Christina Seitz  is an art teacher at Porterville High. She graduated from San Jose State University with a B.A. in Art and Design Studies and have a passion for glass art and graphic design.

Ricardo Zavaleta has been a high school art teacher for 17 years. He received his B.A. in Fine Arts and his teaching credential at CSU Sacramento. I  love to play to play golf in my spare time.

Jenny Santos has taught at Granite Hills for 8 years. She received her art degree from CSU, Chico. She loves photography and making something out of nothing!

Robert Kuhn teaches at Strathmore High and received his art education at SOU.  Before teaching in California, he taught in Ashland, Oregon, both for the high school and privately.  He looks forward to building a fine art program for Strathmore High.

Come in and meet the artists and vote for your favorite piece. The one with the most votes will win “Best of Show”.
